Welcome to Travel with Niikkii (because Nikki was already taken, lol!). First, AH! I did it. I started a blog. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a very, and I mean VERY long time. I can’t wait to share and talk travel with you! I don’t know why it took me so long to do this, so thanks for being here.
A little bit about me/us! I am an average girl living in a small town in Northern Ontario, Canada. It’s one of those towns that I have to say the next biggest city for anyone to have any idea where it is. I work a typical 9-5 job full-time at a community college and try to fit travel into my life as much as possible. I used to travel solo until I met my partner, Travis, and now we enjoy travelling as a couple. Travel With Niikkii started as my Instagram account (please follow along there if you’re not already @travelwithniikkii). I am so excited to see it evolve here. While I do most, well I do all of the travel planning and blogging, Travis is a great travel companion and a breathtaking photographer. The photos we capture will help bring this blog to life and gives us life long memories to cherish. He will also be giving input on topics and his perspective which I will share as well.
So far, I have traveled to 16 countries, 9 with Travis. I hope these posts will help share some highlights, tips, and inspiration for your next adventure! We believe that travel is more than just ticking off places on a map, although I always get satisfaction from scratching them off my scratch map when I get home. It’s all about immersing yourself in diverse cultures, savoring unique cuisines, and creating lifelong memories. Whether it’s a local road trip or an across the world adventure we always look for the best meals, must-do’s, and unique accommodations. Since it’s not always luxe and glam, I will also share some lowlights and some not-to-do’s.
